This Privacy Policy explains how BypassGPT ("the App," "we," "us") handles information when you use the app. BypassGPT is designed to store as little as possible: there is no account system, no login, and no analytics or advertising tracking. This policy describes exactly what is processed and by whom.
BypassGPT does not require you to create an account and does not collect your name, email address, or any other personal identifier to use the app.
The App processes the following, only when you actively use a feature:
When you use Humanize, AI Detector, Translator, or AI Chat, the text you submit is sent directly from your device to OpenAI's API to generate a response. This is necessary for these features to work — there is no way to humanize, analyze, translate, or chat without sending the relevant text to the AI provider.
Your history (past Humanize results, AI Detector checks, Translations, and Chat conversations) and Favorites are stored only on your device, using Apple's local on-device storage framework. This data is never uploaded to our servers and is not synced to iCloud.
If you delete the App, or clear an item from History or Favorites within the App, that data is permanently removed from your device. We have no copy of it and cannot recover it for you.
BypassGPT offers optional auto-renewing subscriptions (Weekly, Monthly, Yearly) and a Lifetime purchase, processed through Apple's App Store in-app purchase system. We use RevenueCat to manage entitlements and validate purchases.
BypassGPT does not use any analytics SDK, advertising network, crash-reporting tool, or cross-app/cross-site tracking technology. We do not use the Advertising Identifier (IDFA) and do not display an App Tracking Transparency prompt, because the App does not track you across apps or websites.
You can grant or revoke these permissions at any time in your device's Settings app. Declining them simply disables the related input method — all other features continue to work normally.
Text you submit to AI features passes through OpenAI's systems as described in Section 2 and is retained according to OpenAI's own policies, not ours. Locally stored History and Favorites remain on your device until you delete them or uninstall the App.
BypassGPT is not directed at children under 13, and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13. If you believe a child has used the App in a way that concerns you, please contact us using the details below.
Because BypassGPT does not maintain user accounts or a server-side database of your personal information, most of your data lives only on your device, under your control (you can view, export via Share, or delete it at any time within the App). For information submitted to OpenAI or RevenueCat, please refer to their respective privacy policies for your rights regarding that data, or contact us and we will assist where we are able.
Your text may be processed on servers located outside your country of residence (for example, by OpenAI or RevenueCat's infrastructure). By using the App, you understand that your submitted text may be transferred to and processed in other countries, which may have different data protection laws than your own.
We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. If we make material changes, we will update the "Effective date" above and, where appropriate, notify you within the App. Continued use of the App after changes take effect constitutes acceptance of the revised policy.
