This Privacy Policy explains how Voice to Text Recorder ("the App"), developed by MD UZZAL MIA, collects, uses, and protects your information when you use the App.

2. Privacy Summary

Voice to Text Recorder is designed with privacy in mind. Your recordings and transcripts remain stored on your device. We do not require user accounts and we do not operate servers that permanently store your recordings or transcripts.

If you choose to use AI-powered features such as summarization, rewriting, translation, or chat assistance, only the text required for that request is securely transmitted to OpenAI to generate the requested response.

3. Information We Collect

a. Audio Recordings & Transcripts

All recordings and transcripts are stored locally on your device. We do not upload, access, or store this content.

b. AI Requests

When you voluntarily use AI features, the selected transcript text and your request are securely sent to OpenAI's API solely to generate the requested response. We do not use this information to train our own models.

c. Subscription Information

Subscriptions are processed through Apple's In-App Purchase system and RevenueCat. RevenueCat receives anonymous purchase information and an anonymous app user identifier to verify your subscription status. We never receive your payment card details.

d. App Configuration

The App uses Firebase Remote Config to deliver configuration updates, such as AI model settings. Firebase may process standard technical information including device identifiers, IP address, app version, and configuration requests. We do not use Firebase Analytics or Crashlytics.

e. Permissions

• Microphone — Required to record audio.
• Speech Recognition — Required to convert speech into text.

These permissions are used only for the features described above.

4. How We Use Your Information

We use information only to:

• Provide voice recording and speech-to-text features.
• Generate AI summaries, translations, rewrites, and other AI responses when requested.
• Verify and manage subscriptions.
• Maintain and improve app functionality.

We do not sell personal information. We do not use advertising SDKs. We do not use third-party analytics or tracking SDKs.

6. Data Storage & Security

Recordings and transcripts remain stored on your device using standard iOS storage protections. Deleting a recording or uninstalling the App removes locally stored data from your device.

7. Data Retention

Your recordings and transcripts remain on your device until you delete them. Data sent to OpenAI is retained according to OpenAI's API data retention policies.

8. Your Rights

• You may delete recordings and transcripts at any time.
• You may revoke Microphone and Speech Recognition permissions in iOS Settings.
• You may manage or cancel subscriptions through your Apple ID settings.
• Depending on your location, you may have rights under applicable privacy laws including GDPR and CCPA.

9. Children's Privacy

The App is not intended for children under 13 years of age (or the applicable minimum age in your country), and we do not knowingly collect personal information from children.

10. International Data Transfers

Our service providers, including OpenAI, RevenueCat, and Google Firebase, may process data on servers located outside your country of residence.

11. Changes to This Privacy Policy

We may update this Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes become effective when the updated version is published on this page.
